My Vampire Clan

A rebel with and without a cause, you belong to the clan of the Brujah. This clan is the muscle of the Camarilla and are always up for fights. However, you are difficult to control...especially since you tend to frenzy easier than most vampires. You are /the/ clan not to piss off or expect a missing limb.

What Vampire Clan Do You Belong To?
The Brujah

The Brujah are inheritors of a majestic and ancient legacy, which is unfortunate. Tonight's Brujah seem less like a clan and more like a mob. Punks, terrorists, revolutionaries, criminals, gangbangers and the like make up the Brujah; the clan seems to be united in nothing save its contempt for the institutions of vampire and mortal society. Well, this is not entirely true; Clan Brujah are among the most savage vampires, and the most trivial slight or annoyance may trigger a howling Brujah frenzy. The Brujah's disunity keeps the clan tenuously in the Camarilla, but Brujah thugs routinely defect to the anarchs, the better to strike against their hated elders. Even the "tamer" Brujah annoy the elders and princes routinely through acts of defiance and rebellion. Despite their recalcitrance, however, Brujah are valued as warriors; they are perhaps the most dangerous vampires in a straightforward battle. To anger a Brujah is nigh suicidal - and Brujah are notorious for their tempers.

Eagels Wins over Archer

Its been almost a week of waiting.. and now the long wait is over..
and i can say that its worth thee wait..

2:00 pm of September 25 i was already in Cubao Gateway to be exact and just waiting for my friends and brothers to arrive. I saw lots of students and people wearing shirts of Ateneo and La Salle primarily because its thee UAAP 71st season game ender.. its a fight between Ateneo blue eagles and long time rival and depending De la salle Green archers.. After waiting for an hour and a half at last, i received an SMS message from my brother that they're already in the entrance of Araneta collesium, i rush in and run to pile of people who's on the same route I'm going. The weather is really not that good because a storm is coming but for me its just like the perfect weather for the day. Its like in the movies when two powerful character are about to give all they got on a fight just like a face off thing, there's lightning, thunder, dark clouds everywhere and cold wind blowing that gives me goosebumps.. Nways back to reality.. We went inside and look for our place, we sat at the left side court corner 2nd line after the lower box.. Then the game started with an explosive all people are yelling and cheering to their bets , well I did bet for Ateneo and sure I won! But I think, Ateneo and San Beda is the greatest rivalry of all ages! the eagle against the lions.. the blue and red! not the green ones... any who... just a comment ^^,

Every Scores that each team makes are like fire that heats us up and bring us to the edge of our seats, it was Ateneo leading in the 3rd quarter with 10 points over La salle, For a moment there, I thought LaSalle will pull through. But when the shots mattered most, they didn’t come. Then two of the most important players in the LaSalle bench, team Captain JV Casio and Rico Maierhofer (who allegedly gave Rabeh the dirty finger) were fouled out on the third and final quarter (ooopsy). my friends are like raising hell when fouls rains for la salle.. Good Job Blue.. (hihihi) I was again just sitting crossing finger while my fellas are screaming at the top of thier lungs thinking La Salle will defy the statistics. Statistics says that in 10 of 14 seasons, the school that got the first game eventually took home the championship. And the Blue Eagles did win the first game, so history and statistics were on their side. Well, La Salle also had its way of making history (like winning last year as comeback champions) and in those ten UAAP seasons, half belonged to the Green Archers.

I am also stunned when Ateneo was shakened by that 10-point comeback of LaSalle in the 3rd quarter, and making it to just a 3 point lead. For a moment, I actually thought LaSalle will win. JV Casio couldn’t stand the constant dumping of points that he had to step up one way or another. And when he rose to the occasion, the rest followed. (aww) It was a great series actually, just to see the DLSU Green Archers vs. the AteneoBlue Eagles in this year’s (2008) UAAP Men’s Basketball finals. I must say This is the best rivalry, it seems in college basketball. But at the end of the day, only one team took the championship.

And this time, it is the Blue Eagles.

To the comfort of the La Sallian community, well at least they put up a great fight. Ateneo was definitely the better team. Match-up wise, they have the better firepower. And give it also to coach Norman Black. This one was dedicated by his players to him, they even wore shirts with the number 24 at one point, a tribute to the number worn by the former PBA import (Black) in his jersey.

The Blue Eagles had arguably the best rookie in Ronjay Buenafe. And they too have the MVP in Al-Hussaini. It was just fitting to be crowned champions.

For the Archers, they’d live to fight another day. After all, they are arguably the most dominant team in recent years. Having claimed several championships in the tutelage of Franz Pumaren.

I was really amazed and overwhelmed, i really love Chris Tiu, Nonoy Baclao, Rabeh Al-Husseini, Ryan Buenafe, Jai Reyes and Yuri Escueta this guys really rocks inside the court they really made my day. (wahaha)

Too bad that during the awarding ceremony La Salle didn't show their sportsmanship for not claiming their medals and trophy as 1st runner up..

Yey.. And because i bet on the right team i got to have a free dinner in tiendesitas hmm.. did i spell it right.. wahahaha.. any who.. GO Blue Team.. to bad its the last Game for Chris.. T_T

"I Fear Dee"

I Fear Dee..

September 17, 2008 just a typical day for me, nothings new, nothing is change.

Exchanging smiles to people at the office, exchanging blah to people I talk with, surfing the web, listening to music, recordings and stuff, enjoying eating. Everything is too normal.

Until the clock hits 5:20 of September 18 the peace of mind that I had disappeared because of news I heard from one of my dearest officemates, whom I consider as my second mom, she just found out that her dad whose miles away from her died early morning of September 17.

She was screaming and crying. I run to her as quickly as possible not knowing why she’s freaking out like that. I manage to follow her in the ladies room and as I enter I saw the look at her face. I can sense doubt, questions, pain and eagerness.

Right after I hug her then I found out why she acted that way. Then other people came in to show there support for her. It’s obvious that she’s still in shock and nervous. She knows within her that there’s no way she can deflect what she just found out.

As we calm her down we went back inside our office. She sat down in her table and continued what she was doing before she burst out. She keeps on telling us that she’s ok and she’ll be ok.

I returned to my table having a blank mind then I sit back and look at the monitor of my computer not noticing tears that’s so warm running down my face, then I started hearing my heart beat so loud and then things started coming in my head like bullets that really gives me Goosebumps..

My memories bout my father started flashing and my brain keeps on showing things that I don’t like to see. Things that is possible to happen. If when, I don’t know? But I’m sure that its fear that I sense in me.

Fear of loosing my father, fear of going home without a father to see, being not able to talk to him permanently. As I cry silently I decided to pray and to call unto him. All of this year I was in denial about what I really feel for my father, I use to hate him while I’m growing up, But its just now that I realize that no matter how bad he his to me his still my father and I’m still his son..

Good thing that it’s not too late for me for us to catch up on things we missed. So to who ever is reading this you should be thankful for every person and love ones that’s with us right now, for we never know what future held’s for us.

You might wake up someday finding out that the one’s you love already went back to where life all started. So spend some time to your love one’s for time is not on our side forever.

We are Happy

"We are Happy"

Remember how we met? how we end up knowing each other?
at first your so tough and so snobby while I'm the joker of our group,
i use to ask to many questions and you just replied with a yes or no.
you always leave us and go to other places or sometimes you rather choose to stay behind than to walk with us.

i was thinking back then whats in your head..
how you see things and how you react on things..
i was so interested in knowing you not noticing that my senses abandoned my defenses that leads me somewhere a place I'm not so sure. during that day if you could remember we talk lots of things but we always end up on saying its a SECRET!, except when we all ready had a shot of long island hahaha...

we also exchanges lots of thoughts and comments in certain issues about our friends, family and our selves. we even talk about who has the coolest mom.. (finding out our mom's have somethings in common) hihi...

we transfered form one place to another not knowing time is passing by (tik tak tik tak)... I can even remember the look at your face when your friend Riva came and i didn't leave yet even i promised to go when she arrives wahaha.. (sowie) remember how you send me signals to go and leave... (but i just disregard them) peace..

the fun part is when Riva started to ask how we met and how we end up painting the town red together.. ( good thing we already talk about it in the wash room) hihihi... that time you are so nervous of what will i say and what will i ask.. (but i did find out some secrets thanks to Riva)...

can you still recall how long did we walk going around greenbelt, glorieta and shang? (aww my feet really soar after doing that) i think we walk miles just talking and talking... we even planned to sleep together somewhere.. i offered my place but your not so sure so i didn't insist anymore.. hehe

and then when we are about to go home while looking for a cab the rain falls leading us running under it in a dark street that I've never been.. i was soak that time..

then we exchanges our goodbyes... ( remember you left your cap in the cab that night) hahah..

after that night we started chatting every night talking and txtng day after day after day..
we even went out on your first day of work then everything came into place unplanned and unnoticed..

I'm glad that until now we're still enjoying being together (hope it will stay that way) and i hope that we wont change... your a kind of person that is hard to find but worthy to keep...

today was another happy day for us... i hope we can make more in the future but who knows... for now its better to just enjoy our moments together for nothings permanent the only constant in this world is change.. so as they say.. "let's live our life to the fullest"...

Thank you for being such a good friend "GeNE"

Its no Air without you...!!!

Photobucket
No Air

Tell me how I'm supposed 2 breathe with no air?

If I should die before I wake
It's cause you took my breath away
Losing you is like living in a world with no air
Oh

I'm here alone didn't wanna leave
My heart won't move it's incomplete
If there was a way that I could make you understand

But how do you expect me to live alone with just me? cause my

world revolves around you it's so hard for me to breathe

Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air?
Can't live, can't breathe with no air
It's how I feel whenever you ain't there
It's no air, no air
Got me out here in the water so deep
Tell me how you gon breathe without me?
If you ain't here I just can't breathe
It's no air, no air

I walk, I ran, I jump, I flew
Right off the ground to float to you
WIth no gravity to hold me down for real

But somehow I'm still alive inside
You took my breathe but I survived
I don't how but I don't even care

So how do you expect me to live alone with just me? cause my

world revolves around you it's so hard for me to breathe

Tell me how I'm supposed 2 breathe with no air?
Can't live, can't breathe with no air
It's how I feel whenever you ain't there
It's no air, no air
Got me out here in the water so deep
Tell me how you gon breathe without me?
If you ain't here I just can't breathe
It's no air, no air

No air, air
No more
It's no air, no air

Tell me how I'm supposed 2 breathe with no air?
Can't live, can't breathe with no air
It's how I feel whenever you ain't there
It's no air, no air

I gotta say what's on my mind
Something about us
doesn't seem right these days
life keeps getting in the way
Whenever we try, somehow the plan
is always rearranged

It's so hard to say
But I've gotta do what's best for me
You'll be ok..

I've got to move on and be who I am
I just don't belong here
I hope you understand
We might find our place in this
world someday
But at least for now
I gotta go my own way

Don't wanna leave it all behind
But I get my hopes up
and I watch them fall everytime
Another colour turns to grey
and it's just too hard to watch it all
slowly fade away
I'm leaving today 'cause I've
gotta do what's best for me
you'll be ok..
I've got to move on and be who I am
I just don't belong here
I hope you understand
We might find our place in this
world someday
But at least for now
I gotta go my own way

BEIJING (Reuters) - Famed for being a hotbed of hormones where brawny boxers can barely wait until the post Games party to hook up with leggy blonde pole vaulters, the Olympic Village may disappoint on the party front this year.

Boxes of free condoms had to be handed out at the 2004 Athens Olympics after contraception ran out at the previous Games in Sydney, where sparks first flew between Roger Federer and his longtime girlfriend Mirka Vavrinec.

In Beijing, not only are the condom gift-bags lacking, but the soulless hangar-like disco room -- complete with grey walls, grey carpet, sub-zero air conditioning and live Chinese folk music -- may well nip any sizzling romance in the bud.

"I suggest they won't find what they need in here, like crazy fun and the happy hour," admitted a member of a shaggy haired Chinese rock band, also performing at the venue, as he sipped a fizzy drink in the near-empty bar where booze is banned and the 90s pop disco ends at midnight.

"There's no alcohol here because it's forbidden in the Village. It's not the best nightlife of Beijing," the rocker said, declining to give his name.

The beautifully manicured Olympic Village, which is lodging some 10,000 athletes and their trainers in brand new apartments, is getting top marks for organization, facilities and food, but not for encouraging mingling.

"I haven't seen any bags of frangers," said world champion rower Amber Halliday, using a slang word for condoms from her native Australia. "But the Australian Olympic Committee has a big bowl out on the table and you can help yourself."

In the games room, two strapping Indonesian athletes avert their eyes discreetly as they stroll by two Eastern European girls in tiny shorts whacking the puck at the air hockey table.

"Until the competition is finished you tend to give people space," said Halliday, 28, of the lack of mingling. "But there'll be plenty of partying on the outside in the second week. Where there's an Aussie there's a way to get drunk."

China has pulled out all the stops for the 2008 Olympics, which it promises will be the best ever.

The 66-hectare Village has laid on everything from Peking Duck to Chinese massage and has armies of smiling volunteers on hand to help guests. Only the evening entertainment sucks.

Gambling in the games room is prohibited, a sign says, and the DVDs on offer are all strictly family movies.

"Is too many smiley and good behavior. No TV and no frozen," complained Kazakh canoeing trainer Alexandr Davydov in broken English, referring to the absence of a fridge in the apartments where one might have been able to keep a cold beer.

"Just sitting in the apartment each night," he sighed.

Still, the guys at least can console themselves that there are a record number of women athletes this year -- 45 percent of the total -- and that the fun factor has been worse

In the 1932 Los Angeles games, women weren't even allowed in the Olympic Village, and in the Lake Placid Winter Games of 1980 athletes were housed in a newly built medium-security prison.

Is the Philippines really hot with Call Centers?

Is the Philippines really hot with Call Centers? http://www.callcenterco.com/images/call-center-training-150.jpg

I’m seeing a lot of reports, news and all raves about the Philippines being the center of attention for the call center industry (or is that contact center?). But, is the Philippines the primary destination? Statistics would show we’re not.

Last week, reports came out that Apple will be opening up a tech support facility in Bangalore, India with an initial manpower of 1,500 and to double by the end of the year. Why didn’t Apple went to the Philippines, I can only speculate.

The early this week, Dell formally launched its office at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City with an initial workforce of 700 to be doubled by end of the year. I saw in TV that GMA was also there to thank Michael Dell for choosing the Philippines as its location for the call center facility. She was all praises actually. Didn’t she know that Dell has an existing support center in India? With an existing 1,000 10,000 call center reps in Bangalore, Dell is also planning to add 50% more within the year as well.

So, by the end of the year, Dell will have 1,000% times more hired agents in India than the Philippines.

Basically, I think we’re just a backup plan and not really the prime destination. At the end of the day, it will still be about the economics of the industry and Indians are still way cheaper than Filipinos.

About 160,000 to be present at Olympic opening

Updated: 2008-08-04 12:45:25 From: Xinhuanet

BEIJING, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- About 160,000 people will attend the Olympic opening ceremony on Friday, said a Beijing city government official here on Monday.

About 70,000 will be guests, VIPs, athletes and actors performing at the ceremony and the remaining 90,000 will be the audience, staff and volunteers, said Zhou Zhengyu, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Committee of Communications, at a press conference.

The authorities have tested a plan to get this huge number of people in and out of the National Stadium, or Bird's Nest, he said.

The guests, athletes and artists will take chartered buses and the audiences will take public buses and the metro.

Staff and volunteers will begin working at the Bird's Nest on Friday morning. The stadium and whole Olympic core area will formally open to the public from 4 p.m. Friday.

"The rush hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and after the ceremony," Zhou said.

The two rehearsals on July 30 and Aug. 2 tested the plan and proved it to be effective, he said. "We will improve it according to real situations."

According to Zhou, 28 direct non-stop bus routes will link the Olympic core area to the rest of the city while 48 regular bus routes and three metro lines also connect the area with the city.

When the third rehearsal is held on Tuesday, the government plans to add 40 stops along the 28 direct bus routes and extend the operation time of metro lines, according to audience requests, Zhou said.

On Friday evening, all metro lines will operate round the clock, except that linking the airport.

"We are confident of providing good traffic service to the Olympic opening," Zhou said.

Beijing uses high-tech to prevent rain from dampening Olympic opening

Updated: 2008-01-08 From: Xinhuanet

BEIJING, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Beijing has mobilized all its science and engineering capability, including satellite monitoring and cloud seeding, to prevent rain from spoiling the extensively expected Olympic opening ceremony on Aug. 8 as historical data indicate a 41 percent precipitation chance on that date.

The Beijing weather engineering office, under the Beijing Municipal Meteorological Bureau, takes the lead in the Olympic weather modification project.

The office doesn't bother to change a lot. It is asked to prevent rain from falling during the three and half hours -- from 8:08 p.m. to around 11:30 p.m. -- onto the Bird's Nest, the open-air National Stadium which will accommodate the opening ceremony.

A technology developed by American scientists, cloud seeding is achieved by shooting shells or rockets containing silver iodide particles into clouds. The icy particles freeze drops in the clouds, make the drops continue growing and eventually fall out of the clouds.

The weather engineering office is weaving a defensive web from adjacent provinces to the Beijing suburbs. Twenty-six control stations have been deployed to fend off clouds or delay their movement.

The office hires 32,000 people, and recruits light aircraft, rockets and shells to spread silver iodide crystals or dry ice in clouds 50 km upwind of Beijing. Result estimates can be reported from control stations to the headquarters within 10 minutes.

One silver iodide shell costs up to 88 yuan (12.75 U.S. dollars),one rocket is priced at 2,000 yuan (290 U.S. dollars), and one aircraft trip spends much more. About 100 shells or four rockets are used in each single action, according to experts.

The office claimed to have eliminated a cloud by airborne spread of infusorial earth on its top on June 2, 2005, which was not found documented in an academic journal.

Meteorologists need to capitalize on radars and weather satellites to monitor colossal storms, which are usually unpredictable, and set off early warnings for Olympic weather services.

One main strategy of the meteorologists is to engineer weather in order to keep the Olympics dry for at least the first three and half hours. Such research and experiments have been conducted since2001 when Beijing successfully bade for the Olympic host.

Many meteorologists agree that cloud seeding technology is only effective to small or mid-sized clouds and thus impossible to influence giant storm systems, which can cover up to a hundred square kilometers. The methodology is employed basically to speed up rain, delay rain, or change the place where rain falls, one Beijing-based expert said.

Some meteorologists, meanwhile, argue the study on cloud formation and large-scale weather conditions is insufficient to effective weather modification. Others dispute on the negative impact of spreading silver iodide in the sky on environment.

Yu Xinwen, a China Meteorological Administration (CMA) spokesman, said here Monday that the statistical probability of 41 percent, based on the meteorological data collected in the past 33 years, just offers a rough idea on a historical chance of precipitation.

An instant case is the 15th Asian Games in December 2006 in Doha, Qatar. In a country where rain has been rarely seen, a deluge soaked athletes and spectators during the expensive and breathtaking opening ceremony.

However, Yu said, "It's possible to predict the weather at the opening night one week in advance, and prediction accuracy will scale up leading to Aug. 8." He expected more precise predictions within two days before the Olympics.

As historical data indicate, early August is often warm and humid, and might not be an ideal timing for the Olympic opening. Many thought the Beijing Olympic organizers deliberately chose the auspicious eighth day of the eighth month. However, organizers said it was not the fact.

Fortune-conscious Chinese do care lucky numbers, among others 8 is the best to represent prosperity and wealth. But decision makers were briefed by meteorologists that the week beginning with August 8 usually falls in the wettest period each year in Beijing.

It was reported that the Beijing organizers proposed the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to kick off the Games, ideally, on Aug. 15. The final decision of the Aug. 8 option from the IOC left Beijing the only choice to prevent rain, at least around the sky of the Bird's Nest.

The urgency on weather engineering for the Olympic opening is based on one assumption that the main sports venue has no roof. Architects did include a controlled full roof in their original design. The roofless version, which now stands in north of the city, allegedly saved taxpayers 300 million yuan (43 million U.S. dollars).

THE DARK KNIGHT

THE DARK KNIGHT
(2008)
* * * *
Directed by Christopher Nolan
Starring Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Eric Roberts, Anthony Michael Hall
Warner/Rated PG-13/Action, Fantasy/152 mins

Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker — discomforting as a school girl’s nervous laugh — is the most outstanding feature of Christopher Nolan’s mesmerizing “Batman” sequel. From his seat atop the pit of hell, the marvelously twisted Joker pursues his diabolical heart’s desire. He’s the ultimate terrorist, wreaking havoc for the sake of watching others sink to new lows. To achieve anarchy, The Joker happily burns a mountain of money, but to worm his way into Batman’s psyche, the Joker will burrow deep into the caped crusader’s emotional world.

“Dark Knight” aptly describes Christopher Nolan’s sordid second chapter. He, and his co-writing brother, Jonathan, depict one evil man’s efforts to infect the minds of ordinary people with hate. Director Nolan has not forsaken the major action set pieces, but he has unexpectedly put the carnage into frighteningly relevant context. If The Joker, an allegory for anyone that goes bump in the night, can bring a megalopolis to its knees, then we begin to appreciate our illusion of safety.

While The Joker seeks his Batman fix, Batman awakens to the harsh reality of operating outside the law. A vigilante easily cast in a harsh light, Christian Bale’s Batman does the right thing at great personal cost. In real life he is Bruce Wayne, a billionaire dedicating a chunk of his fortune to high tech weaponry needed for stopping and capturing bad guys. For his personal needs Wayne relies upon his ever faithful butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Caine). For for his arsenal of gadgets he depends upon business associate and inventor, Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman). The two men are father figures doling out more than expertise -- they provide moral support and guidance for Wayne’s alter-ego.

District attorney, Rachel Dawes, is the third and final person entrusted with the secret of Batman’s true identity. Played by Maggie Gyllenhaal whose big brown eyes mirror Batman’s regrets, she is the best new thing (after The Joker) to emerge from chapter two. Warner Brothers wisely identified that casting Katie Holmes’ in this pivotal role was the weak link in “Batman Begins.” Gyllenhaal completes the circle of emotional intensity occupied by her male costars. Aaron Eckhart, playing DA, Harvey Dent, and Gary Oldman, disappearing into the role of police commissioner, James Gordon, are powerful brush strokes in this portrait of a city in peril.

When soaring on his batwings, Batman cuts a mournful, lonely and breathtaking figure. In ways even more profound than those embodied by The Joker, the caped crusader is an emblem for loss, longing, and emptiness. Listen and you will hear a lament on the wind.

Undefinable LOVE

Love is a condition or phenomenon of emotional primacy, or absolute value. Love generally includes an emotion of intense attraction to either another person, a place, or thing; and may also include the aspect of caring for or finding identification with those objects, including self love. Love can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. In ordinary use, it usually refers to interpersonal love, an experience usually felt by a person for another person. Love is commonly considered impossible to define.

The concept of love, however, is subject to debate. Some deny the existence of love, calling it a recently invented abstraction. Moreover, approximately 13 percent of cultures reportedly have no word for love.[1] Others maintain that love exists but is undefinable; being a quantity which is spiritual, metaphysical, or philosophical in nature. Love is one of the most common themes in art. An unfinished debate about the authenticity of love as other-regard began with Friedrich Nietzsche's charge that love is merely an ideology constructed by the weak to mask "resentment" about their lack of power. Critics of Nietzsche's view find gratuitous his assumptions that self-interest and the "will to power" overshadow all other concerns.

Memories of Nobody

I wanna be loved, but i dont try to love, as i wander repeatedly through these same situations i can only find one answer.

Even if I'm scared, even if I'm wounded i must say, "I Love You" to my beloved.
whether you love me or not, doesn't really matter, there's so many things in this world that cant be changed, no matter how hard you wish or hope they will.

Yes and the fact that i love you is a truth that no one can change, beyond a thousand nights, there is something i want to tell you, that i must tell you.

its terrifying to put your own feelings into words, but i must say that I Love You...

Kiss from a stranger…

Kiss from a stranger…

I can’t believe that I fell for it
I can’t deny the temptation I felt
I can’t stop the lush
It’s too hush…

Once I touch the flaming fire
It burst all over my vessels
Feels like my skin is burning
Taste like pleasure with pain…

In me I know I want this rush
In me I knew it wasn’t right
But I can’t stop
But I can’t shout

I want to scream but what to say?
I want to run but where to go?
I want to laugh but for what?

Ask me why
Ask me how
Ask me where
I don’t know why

One thing I know
One thing I’m sure
It’s for real and not just a fantasy of mine

This heart beat that began
Can’t be stopped by anyone
How long after the beginning
Does the finale remain unbeknownst?
To all neither a deception nor an illusion
It flows without interruption

I had a taste of the forbidden kiss
A perfect kiss from a stranger
Now I’m lost and teased

Looking for the missing pieces of the puzzle
Just to have another chance to taste the kiss from a Stranger…

What I Did for Love

What I Did for Love

My name is JC. I’m 22, still very young, but I am dying. Not right now but my life is slowly fading away as I’m writing my story. The sun is slowly beginning to set over the lake. I took a glance at my reflection in the water. My outside looks have changed drastically within the past few months, but the water reflected the true me. Inside I’m still the same person.

I have done and given so much for love but never once, have I received it back. There are times that I wanted to tell to love everything that I’ve done for and make the person love me back. But I can’t.
Love is not selfish

So I did what felt right. I keep giving love my love and I never asked for love in return. Even though I’ll leave this country pretty soon, my love for love will still remain. My story begins when I first met love on this one fateful day. It all started out…

I was a chatter and actively participate in group activities. I defrag the universe and stayed my connections with people who I also consider my friends and sometimes my love. A new room/thread introduced me with new persons where I met my love. Lines where busy and the cheerful voice of my heart echoes through out our house. When I met love, a shock wave passed through me that I surely know that I met my soul mate (although sometimes it happens not only once…dami kong soulmate hehe..). Bells and trumpets were even heard by my deaf heart. All became transparent except me and love…I stayed and believed that it’s over...Finally I stopped searching cuz I knw that I’ve already found my right partner in life…Time passed, and love also leave me…leaving me with memories that sometimes hunt me with guilt and regrets..what I’ve done wrong?? Everything happens for a reason but I can’t find any reason why love leaves me…Then one night I started to culminate for what my heart really wants me to tell. Then I know that love never left me, for the good that I have become because of love will always stay. Love will always be there, reminding me that I should be thankful and happy not because I have lost love, but because, for once in my life, that feeling called love lived in my heart and made me …
happy

STONE HEARTas some of my friends described me. Even it is hard for me to accept it, I cant blame them for what they observed in my manner. I allowed myself to be capsulated in a thick wall of thorns that only a person with vigor and desire to know me can have a glimpse of my nature. Life is full of perils and despairs. Life threw me in situations that will test and challenge my strengths. I built my own armor using emotional tools to shield me. Soon it begin to change my views in life. For many years I dreamed to have a perfect heart, but people around me chained it little by little that I didnt even noticed. My heart begins to beat slower and slower, and then its stopped. One day I woke up without even feeling anything. I dont feel pain anymore, happiness visit me once in a while but even happiness is somehow fearful to me. But after all of these I stayed to believe that God is within me.

A Beginner's Guide to Lord of the Rings Online

After cruising through well over 6 hours of gameplay in Turbine’s latest creation, I felt it important to write this short guide to assist beginners in making certain they don’t miss the forest for the trees.

1. Hear no evil??? Create some evil.

Have you noticed that this MMO seems to have a whole lot of musical instruments lying around? Did you miss the fact that at level 5 you will find yourself able to learn to play a musical instrument? If you chose to be a minstrel… well… you could play all of the weapons found in the game.

I will be honest: it took me some time to realize that those random notes people were fooling around with could actually turn into real music – not just real music, but actual recognizable songs. In the LOTRO forums, they even have a sticky showing you how to play the various songs found in game, songs ranging from Sweet Child of Mine to the theme from Super Mario Brothers. I am actually curious if anybody could get in trouble recreating copywriter music, but my guess is it’s highly unlikely.

This is certainly an optional thing to play around with inside of the gaming world, but it is something unique, something I myself didn’t realize until many days into my playing. It will not be for everybody, but it is an example of the power of immersion and community in LOTRO.

(Note: As of this writing, we are days away from the Shores of Evendim free content download which will offer new advances in the music making arena.)

2. Finally an MMO for the anti-social.

I have been very public at 2404 about my dislike of the MMORPG genre, for a variety of reasons, one of which has been my extreme hesitance to interact with strangers. Most MMOs have only a shell of a solo experience before forcing you to join a group.

Now, while I will not lie and say that every quest can be a solo adventure in LOTRO, I think there are enough solo and group quests to please everybody. In fact, the way this game is set up, you may find yourself joining a fellowship to pass a few quests before going back to your own solo path.

The structure of LOTRO is that some quests, no matter how easy they may appear, simply cannot be completed by one’s self, especially during the early portions of the game, i.e. before level 20. This is the point where many solo enthusiasts stop playing the game. Typically, grouping equates to less loot and less experience as well as having to share rewards.

I am happy to say to those people that they need to not be so hasty in their judgments of this game. In my experience, to date, I have come across a handful of quests in LOTRO which I have been unable to complete by myself. Often in traveling to the quest, I would see people hanging out outside of the main destination, waiting to team up with like-minded gamers. You see, it really is as easy as joining or forming a fellowship, finishing the quest, and then ending the fellowship. While you will need to split the loot and experience earned while in the fellowship, you won’t have to share the ultimate reward for completion of the quest or the experience that comes with it, (unless you want to share the quest, of course).

I found myself doing this for the larger story related quests and occasionally when I found a signature enemy that simply was too much for my champion to defeat. In one respect, in being forced to occasionally team up in this manner, I have found it to be a convenient and acceptable manner to play in, and it has allowed me to advance my character.

3. The Grind, killing me slowly, one rat at a time….

Ah yes, my old enemy the Grind, destroyer of fun and overall boredom/coma inducer. The Grind, for those not down with the chant, is where you go off and kill monster after monster for hours, gaining enough experience to grind out a new level. cNearly every MMO on the market deals with this nuisance, but LOTRO seems to be on to something. Grinding in LOTRO will certainly gain you experience points, but at such a slow rate that you would spend hours and hours killing hordes of monsters just to start getting close to a new level.

The main way to gain experience in LOTRO is through completing the quests of the game. Quests that you accept are often given a color value to show their difficulty, with impossibly tough quests being one color (purple) or really simple quests being a different color (green). The tougher the quest you complete, the more experience you get, but often you are getting in one quest what may take hours killing hordes to accomplish. This is also a good thing, as you will find that most of the powerful items you find outside of shops will be handed over in quests.

However, if you enjoy combat and persevere, you will be able to earn yourself some nice extras. Often, killing a requisite number of a certain type of creature will earn your character a title. If you keep killing after your title, you may be gifted with a new trait or even a trait specific to your character class which is often a highly desirable thing. Earning these traits will not be easy, and I usually just earn them through normal gameplay, but if you enjoy grinding, you will get somewhat of a reward for it.

4. What is this? No PvP in LOTRO? Say it isn’t so.

It isn’t so… well, after a sort, anyway. Currently, players in LOTRO online are restricted from doing more than dueling each other for fun. You will find no real mechanism for pitting your normal character against someone else’s character.

There is something included in the game known as Monster Play, a very nice feature which adds an entirely new layer to the gameplay experience. With Monster Play, you will find yourself, after reaching level 10 and finding a fell pool, with the ability to take on the role of a soldier in the evil armies. These monsters range from Orcs to Wargs and will set you up with highly powerful monsters with which to wage war against the Free Peoples of Middle Earth.

In these wars, high level PCs and NPCs will wage war for points of power, which, once captured, provide solid staging areas for further raids. You may wonder why even bother doing this; well, this is where serious prestige and street cred will be earned. This portion of the game is not mandatory, but it is accessible early on, at least for playing as a monster. While I was initially put off by this, I do enjoy now being able to become one of the monster races for some serious raiding.

While in monster form, you will find that your destiny points are all that you truly earn. This means that, as a monster, you can actually come to monster play and stockpile these points, which I have found come in handy in all sorts of combat situations, as well as just making my running faster. As a monster, these destiny points are used to make your monster even more powerful, which, when you consider how powerful you will be from the beginning of Monster Play, means that you can seriously cause some damage to other players.

I know this is not the true PvP that many gamers enjoy, but it is the best form of PvP for everybody but the most hardcore, and I personally think this keeps more in line with what Tolkien would have envisioned if he were around today. This Monster play keeps the PvP aspect playable from early on, while giving normal characters something to strive for, as the PvP areas are for only the highest-level characters.

5. Almost $15 a month to make boots?

The ability to craft items in games has been around for some time now and can be found in nearly every major MMO title on the market today. As a perpetual fighter yourself, you may wonder what allure there is to craft items in LOTRO. Well the answer is simple: no reason… and every reason.

From a very early level, regardless of where you start, you will have the opportunity to pick up a trade, from being a prospector, weapons or armor smith, to a scholar who seeks out ruins and scraps of text. For the sake of my guide, I chose to make armor. Now, once you choose your profession, you are given a number of recipes, some basic tools and sent off to learn your trade. While I may make armor, I also gain access to prospecting (mining for ore), as well as tailoring (doing the leather work to attach to your armor) and, of course, the armor-making ability. The interesting thing about crafting armor is that it is a multi-step process, by which you are forced to mine the ore, smelt it into useful bits, and then you need to add the leather bits to the metal to finally craft real armor.

While this may sound easy, it will require you to venture out in search of ore to mine, and some of the ore is not always easy to find. Then again, for the laziest of us, you can always just purchase your resources from the many players ranging throughout the land. Now, the biggest challenge is that although you can prepare and make armor, when it comes to leather, you do not have the skill to boil leather. This task requires a forester, which means you will either have to buy the leather or, I dare say, interact with other players to get the proper materials for your recipes. The best approach is to find a forester who needs ingots or some other metal worked and do a trade, task for task. This is actually the true key to making crafting easy, as the private market for these items or services is often ten times cheaper than the auction house market.

Some gamers may not like the idea of having to interact and sometimes rely on others, but this is what being part of a community is all about. The synergy, or the symbiotic nature of these types of games, should draw you in. Stay tuned for part 2 of my guide to LOTRO, when I will discuss the Shores of Evendim content, as well as give you the final 5 things you may not know or understand about LOTRO.

Sword of the New World: Granado Espada Review

A Garnet in the Rough

Oh boy, another massively multiplayer online game. MMOs aren’t like other computer games; much like homes, nobody really has the time or money to have more than one. With half a dozen good ones already on the market, and another dozen coming online by Christmas, anyone foolhardy enough to try to bring one to consumers nowadays had better have a plan. Most new MMOs try to use a license to become a hit such as Lord of the Rings, Conan, Stargate, among many others. Others, like Guild Wars, Goonzu, and Maple Story try to wedge their way in by being cheaper. Finally, comes that rare breed that uses originality to take gamers to new worlds. EverQuest gets the mention here, with City of Heroes and precious few others.

Sword of the New World: Granado Espada obviously doesn’t have a license doing the leg work for it. Instead, it uses both of the other two tactics: being a free to download (and to play, for 20 levels) game that has more than its fair share of new ideas.

The first thing to set this game apart is the location. Breaking free of the criminally overdone “fantasy pseudo-Europe” setting, Sword takes players to the new world, circa the 17th century. Yes, there are many strong fantasy elements, and certainly a European cast to the architecture and social structure, but we’re closer to the Napoleonic Era than the Crusades, and it shows. A player sees this right away when he rolls up characters, in a family home as well decorated as Versailles. While generating a character is little more choosing name, class, and costume, the latter is when the game starts to shine, with rich clothing choices wonderfully representative of an era when beautiful textiles were no longer exclusive to the highest nobility.

Then comes the next surprise. Most MMOs let you have a single character at a time. This seems reasonable, but many such games are marred deeply by quests requiring groups of other players to finish. Sword boldly explores new territory by having players control up to 3 characters at a time (the ‘up to’ is misleading, you’ll want a full complement at all times). Thus, you’re now a walking party of adventurers, as your characters, while sharing the same last name, can be from a variety of classes. These run from the usual fare of warrior and wizardly types, to nods to the setting, with musketeers and scouts (also the healers, there are no priests or the like), among others. The multi-character play is by far the highlight of the game, as this one feature makes you able to ‘power level’ your own new characters, avoid the misery of finding a group, AND enjoy various ways to play as different characters, all in one. You also get to pick up ‘unique’ non-player characters to add to your party, although you’ll generally find your three guys to be plenty.
